    Emilee offers us a glimpse into a mysterious world, a reflection of inner landscapes and atmospheres where fear, doubt, hope and inner joy co-exist. ‘Coming out of the shadow’ is a recurrent theme in ‘The Extra Ordinary’, with aspects of reaching out and going from inner to the outer world entwined throughout the 5 track EP. The album acts as an ode to existing and life itself. The title, ‘The Extra Ordinary’ suggests that ‘The unalterable uniqueness of every human being lies in the spirit’ [De l’âme - François Cheng], providing the ultimate juxtaposition echoing that we are all the same (human), yet so powerfully singular. This is an EP that is not ordinary, it’s extra ordinary taking the audience on a remarkable journey and inviting us to connect to our inner selves.

    With every song and instrumental piece, ‘The Extra Ordinary’ opens up new universes created by the journey and memories of protagonist Mely R. Each song brings character to the EP, with playful and melancholic strands throughout. The EP opens with ‘Lost Among Stars’, and close perfectly with ‘Rodeo’. In ‘Mely Out of Reach’, which is the first single to be
    released from the EP, we meet the main character ‘Mely R.’ and learn about her journey to gain back her existence.
